Laundry Hack
So I purchased these dryer balls at Marshalls to see if they would speed up the laundry process in my house. Y'all these balls are crazy! I have no idea how they work but they basically make your clothes and sheets beautiful with no wrinkles and my loads dry in half the time. It's seriously crazy! These little balls were cheap like $4.00 and they have already paid for themselves a million x over! I am seriously type a with laundry! If my clothes come out with wrinkles then I have to wash the load all over again....seriously. I know I can't be the only one who does that. Anyway anything that can save time with this awful chore/task I'm always down! These balls seriously rock you need them! Perfect laundry in 1/2 the time.

School Vaca Week @ the RI Audubon Society
What a beautiful day it was today in New England for school vacation! We certainly took advantage of the weather and spent the day at the Audubon Society of RI in Bristol. They hosted an AMAZING free day of activities for school vacationers! Today was 'Owl Day'. We used our Groupon family pass which was $22.00 for the year, but we didnt need it because today was completely free entry for everyone regardless if you have a pass or not... Our day at the Audubon started with THREE different owl themed craft tables which the kids went crazy over....
Then we wrote out postcards that the Audubon of RI will be sending to The White House. The kids had to write why our earth is important for President Trump. ❤ πΊπΈπΊπΈπΊπΈ ❤
Next we went on an long 45 minute adventure on the nature boardwalk. The scenery there is breathtaking. I packed snacks/lunches so we didn't have to eat any junk or spend $$$ on food.
The kids each picked out an owl stuffed animal from the adorable affordable gift shop. I don't mind buying things for the kids at the Audubon, it all goes to such a great cause!
Omg if that wasn't enough we went back to the main building for story time and we even met a new friend Eek the Owl! Wow! Eek was run over by a car in New Hampshire. He was driven to the Audobon in RI where he was rehabilitated. Eek is mostly blind due to his brain injuries. Eek now spends his days educating others about wild birds! π
Totally awesome day. When we were on 95 headed back to the West Bay we passed by Roger Williams Zoo. I chuckled a little bit because there were like five million cars in the parking lot. Why would any parent torture themselves like that during vaca week! We had such a full, peaceful, stress-free, frugal, educational, and FUN day with the owls at the Audubon!
I must say too that the bathrooms are stunningly fresh and clean. Parents I can't do dirty bathrooms with my kids. Katie touches everything and it really stresses me out! The bathrooms at the Audubon are an A++. π Triple win.
Cheers!

Free URI/Job Lot Seed Program for New Englanders
New England Residents!
Wow, wow, Wow! What is not to love about the OH SO GENEROUS URI/Job Lot FREE SEED Program. The University of Rhode with the help of Job Lot gave out a whopping 200,000 FREE SEED packets this Febuary! They also sent a bunch to Puerto Rico! Here is a link if you want to know more about the program. It's available to anyone or any organization (schools and clubs) that are interested in growing their own produce! It's too late to claim seeds for 2018 but make sure if you didn't take part this year you get in the mix for 2019. Order forms are filled out late Nov/Dec each year.

Not only does URI roll out this amazing seed program.....they also provide a FREE seed starting class for residents on seed pick up day! My favorite EG mom friend and I attended the seed class and it was very cool!
Here is a photo of my seed order. Some of my seeds are going to Lyme Disease patients who may be interested in growing their own herbs and veggies in their homes. Many of the seed packets are sufficient for indoor small pots and window sunlight growing.
What a program! AWESOME! Ya'll please, if you need any gardening items please consider giving Job Lot the business! I've never seen a company give back to their community like this!

Rhode Island 4-H - & Nationwide
Ok parents let's talk 4-H! We LOVE 4-H! Jack kicked off his school vacation with a 4-H sculpture seminar (free with $10.00 annual 4-H membership dues). Y'all if your looking for an organization that can simply put 'Make the Best Better' 4-H is the place! I could go on for hours about the benefits of 4-H membership. From art, animals, cooking, crafts, health, leadership, public speaking, engineering, science, service, plants, responsibility to goal setting.....and so much more 4-H is the place! We love that 4-H is co-ed (they don't separate the girls and boys like the scouts) and all ages are together. My son loves this because he really looks up to the older peer models! I also can't say enough about the wonderful people we have met through Rhode Island 4-H. They are the creme of the crop....the sweetest of the sweet....and we are so grateful to be a part of this outstanding organization. Cheers! ❤π❤π #forallfamilies #nationwide #ages5to99

Home Depot Free Kids Workshop
Is it weird that a portion of my family memories are made at The Home Depot Kids Workshop? I've said it a million times and I will say it again, THIS IS OUR FAVORITE! Home Depot as been cranking out some pretty cool projects for 2018. Our kids loved the Valentine's Bean Bag Toss so much that they haven't stopped playing with them since the workshop. We had bean bag competitions all day last Sunday. The fact that Home Depot provides these free amazing classes to their communities is just incredible! Holla! Check out the workshop for March! We have never made periscopes before! #STEAM #forallfamilies #nationwide #education #doingit #familylife #frugality #learners

RI, MA, CT Families - Audubon Society of RI Groupon
- Ok y'all so this is just a really amazing deal. Groupon has an Audubon Society of RI coupon right now that makes their yearly family membership just $22.00. How amazing. We have been going to The Audubon Society for years with our kids! The grounds in Bristol are breathtaking, the boardwalk especially. My kids LOVE the owls and fish exhibits. Your yearly membership provides you with free entry ALL YEAR LONG and free entry to most special activites and school vacation experiences! This family membership is just $2.00 per month through groupon! Hook it up! As a member you also enjoy special perks and invitations to special events with cool creatures like owls and hawks. TAS of RI is just an amazing place rich in STEAM education activities and a quality unique time spent for families. They host amazing unique birthday parties too! One thing I think is cool about this org, the $22 small as it may be, goes towards saving and rehabilitating sick and injured birds. Enjoy!
