Southwick Zoo Experience

We went to Southwick Zoo on Friday and had a great time. One thing I will say is Southwick is expensive! We had free passes that we won at a charity auction and we still spent nearly triple digits. If you are going to Southwick make sure you take your own food, as a basic lunch or snack was $20.00 for three of us each time and that was ordering cheapo hot dogs and less expensive items. Jack loved the mining activity which was $12.00 a bucket and I bought him two buckets.

The food thing was my own fault because I normally take food for our outings and field trips but it's the end of summer and things are hectic with back to school preparations, so we just went on the fly....mistake!

Anyway the zoo grounds are pristine and we loved going on the train ride, in fact we went twice! They have smaller rides for little ones and a sky ride and zip line for bigger kids and adults....again take your wallet because you will need it!

If going to Southwick you will have a blast, just make sure you find coupons for entry, and take your own small cooler which is allowed!

I had our foldable red wagon which was key for letting the kids rest their legs from all the walking and also great for my big bag of essentials.
