Hasbro Fun Lab - Rhode Island's Best Kept Secret!!!!!

Seriously people!!!!! How lucky are we to have Hasbro in our AMAZING state of Rhode Island! Katie just started the FREE pre-school program at Hasbro and she LOVES it! It's half day once a week for one month. This is seriously amazing for stay at home moms! Kids get to go and play with the newest and greatest cutting edge toys while they are observed by top researchers in the industry. At the conclusion of their program Hasbro gives them a very generous parting swag bag of all their latest and greatest toys! Katie seriously went BONKERS in the Fun Lab today! So let me get this straight!!!! FREE pre-school and FREE toys....um ok!!!! Also where the world headquarters is located in Pawtucket, RI is a frugal moms paradise! There is an Aldi and bread outlet right down the road on Newport Ave! The bread outlet is sweet and most everything is only 89 cents! Aldi is awesome because everything isnt all picked over like it is where we live! Holla! I had the pick of everything! Seriously what are you waiting for??? Hasbro FUN Lab and toy testing is one of the coolest experiences around for little Rhodies and beyond! The best part is that everyone we have met @ Hasbro have been total SWEETHEARTS! We LOVE Hasbro gaming and toys! #funlab

Patriots Place Baby!

Wow, Wow, Wow! Patriots Place in Foxboro, MA is really stepping up their game for kids! Not only do they have FREE Ice Skating for kids every Thursday night until Feb 15th, but now every Thursday evening is FREE for kids at Moe's (with purchase of an adult entree)! While your there you might as well stop by Bass Pro Shops and see the free turtle exhibits, and fish! Holy cow! Thanks Patriots Place! Camp Cornell will get there as soon as we can! This sounds like a PERFECT night! Ice Skating, dinner at Moe's and Bass Pro ALL FREE for kids! Thanks Patriots Place!

Escape your Blizzard of 18' cabin fever!

Join us tomorrow @ The Home Depot for a free and  fabulous Kids Craft Class! I'm totally pumped to do this class so my kids can built, paint, and make a mess somewhere other than our house! Its been a rough few days as we weathered the blizzard of 18' here in the Northeast! Tomorrow's free workshop features a neat block calendar that kids get to build, decorate, and keep! It's really a great craft to kick off the new year! I love that this craft is 100% educational! See you there.... @ The Home Depot Nationwide! 9-12! Get there early!

This Mom does not 'DIG' Dig - It bars.

So Jack received a few dig it bars for Christmas. Sigh.... I get it these 'toys' are STEAM/STEM based so they are great for learning but check out this mess that they make. I am not digging dig it bars! The object of this activity is to literally dig toy gems out of an ever crumbing bar of cement. They are even a mess when done outside on a driveway because they leave a sticky cement pile behind.

I rarely give an activity a hands down, esp when its a learning activity buuttttttt...... I guess there is a first time for everything!
